Is there a way to preview exactly what the ad looks like before sending it?
When submitting an ad you use the visual message builder (a  WYSIWYG editor ) .
WYSIWYG is an acronym for "what you see is what you get". The editor on the mailer page alone allows you to preview your HTML message for submission.
You can  copy&paste your html message right into the text area , then you can see the source HTML code by clicking the "Source" button on the top left corner of the message builder.
If you have HTML code ready, first off you have to push the "Source" button & paste the code into the text area.Then, to get the html code rendered, you just have to click the "Source" button again.
You can maximize message body by clicking the button as shown below.

So it's as easy to use as Frontpage or Dreamweaver.
